valentine's day menu

We aren't going out to eat this year and I want to make a really special dinner

I know I'm having chocolate covered strawberries for dessert, and champagne for dinner

What should I make? Should I do something like oysters as an app?

Any good ideas?

Re: valentine's day menu

DH asked for ham steaks. So I am going to be making this recipe:

1 Fully Cooked Ham Steak
1 cup Chopped Onion
3 cups Apple Juice
2 teaspoons Dijon Mustard
2 medium Green Apples -- cored and thinly sliced
2 medium Red Apples -- cored and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1/4 cup Cold Water
1 tablespoon Minced Fresh Sage
Or
1 teaspoon Rubbed Sage
1/4 teaspoon Pepper
In a large skillet coated with nonstick cooking spray, brown ham steak on both sides over medium heat; set aside and keep warm. In the same skillet, saute onion until tender. Stir in apple juice and mustard; bring to a boil.

Add apples. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 4 minutes or until apples are tender. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into apple juice mixture. Bring to a boil; boil and stir for 2 minutes. Stir in sage and pepper. Return ham steak to the skillet; heat through.

Lobster's my favorite!!!!

How about aspargus wrapped in proscuitto for veggie and new potatoes to go with it?

A nice steak is also a good choice!

Scallops...mmmm....I'm getting hungry!
