Vampires vow till death do us part at Ohio wedding
Oct 5, 3:25 PM (ET)
COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio bride and ghoul have vowed to love each other and haunt and howl at the moon together at a Halloween-themed wedding. Sixty-one-year-old Jack Holsinger and 44-year-old Connie Spitznagel were both made up as pale-faced vampires for their scare-emoney Saturday night at a haunted house near Cleveland. The two chose the location because it's operated by the same people who own a campground where the couple met.
Holsinger arrived in a coffin inside a hearse, and the coffin was carried to the altar by six pallbearers. Minister Greg Kopp was dressed as Jason in the 'Friday the 13th' movies. After the vows were exchanged, he ordered Holsinger not to kiss his new bride but instead to bite her on the neck.

Was this their wedding cake?
ETA: Picture was too big, trying it again!
I was thinking the same thing.. I got all excited thinking it was a 'twilight' themed wedding, but its just an old guy in a coffin
I'm still trying to talk FH into a twilight theme, kinda ***** that Breaking Dawn (movie) comes out after our wedding... I woulda copied the wedding scene.

'Just an old guy in a coffin'
FH would murder me before he'd do a Twilight themed anything!

My FH actually enjoyed Twilight the movie. Neither of us read the books but we liked the movie. I doubt he would do a twilight themed wedding. I probably wouldn't either. but it would be fun to go to one and see how it's played out at the wedding.

noooooooooooo you have to read the books! I swear, I should be their spokesperson... I push the books on EVERYONE I come across.. I'm like one of those crazy people standing outside handing out flyers about the world coming to an end, but instead I'm telling them about how wonderful twilight it
I read the entire series twice... a week each time.
now I have a sweet 16 to go to the same night new moon comes out...

Definitely read the books. If you liked the movie, you'll LOVE the books. And if you get the soft cover it's not so bad to lug around (though this is coming from the bag lady!).
And my sister and I just pre-ordered New Moon tix for opening night. Wish us luck, there's going to be hordes of screaming teenage girls there.
ETA: And if either of you haven't read the Sookie Stackhouse series get on it! I personally like it even better than Twilight. I know! Plus the books are tiny and light and easy to carry.

yea, its a sweet 16 for one of the students at my dance studio, I'm actually honored to be invited, I'm usually not invited to personal parties because I'm only there once a week.
and as for the books being too big to lug around.. (i can't believe I'm saying this...) get them in paperback. They really aren't that big. but the best time to read them is on a weekend when you have no plans. I totally shut myself off from the world. I would go to my brothers house so FH could hangout with him (they're bff's ) and i'd sit on the couch or even in my nephews room and just read. and they're hard to put down, so I wouldn't suggest reading them on a train or on a lunch break. but you do HAVE to read them!!!
its pathetic, when it first became a big thing I was so 'anti-twilight' (same thing with HP, but became obsessed) one weeknight my mother and i didn't have anything going on, FH had school, so we rented it and at the end looked at each other like '*** was that' we weren't happy. so i rented it again months later.. then bought the movie while i had it out on rental... then told FH I was thinking of buying the books... everyone was pushing them on me and i had time to read.. so he ordered them and over-nighted them for me... and that was it.. I was HOOKED!

future SIL got them for me for christmas, so I have to wait to read them but I am excited about it. once I finish reading the percy jackson series (I'm on book 4) I'm going to read the books the vampire diaries is based off of... then twilight AGAIN.. then SS.
I'm jealous you got tickets already! I'm trying to figure out what time all my friends will be available for the opening day. I'm not going to the mid-night show. we're pushing for a 5:30 show.. but have to wait for the list of times. i saw fame the night it came out (horrible) and it was BAD in the theater, I walked in as the new moon preview was on (and pushed my way through everyone, with a tray of popcorn, nachos and large soda lol) all the pre-teens in the theater were SCREAMING for new moon. it was scary. lol and the way they acted during fame... I'll be P I S S E D if that happens during new moon.. I'll literally beat up a 12 year old for talking through it (not really.. thats bad lol, but i will be upset)

Percy Jackson? I do not know this one. I'm actually reading Anne Rice right now, I'm up to book 7- The Vampire Armand. They're pretty good, too, I have to say. Not as lighthearted as Sookie/Twilight though. My co-worker keeps pushing JR Ward's series on me. What series is The Vampire Diaries based on? I've been really trying to watch the show but it's just painful. It's no True Blood.
And I have to say I LOLed at your other post- I was so anti-HP and Twilight it's ridiculous. But I was bored and I figured what the heck, I borrowed it from my sis and I was HOOKED!

ok, don't laugh.. percy jackson is in the KIDS section at B&N.. I bought the first 2 books at walmart and didn't know. I was on Stephanie Meyers website and read her blog about how her son just finished reading the series and she was upto book 3 and she suggested people read it.. so I did. its not a vampire story, its about a greek, demi-god.. its pretty good. I can't wait to be done with it though.

Haha sometimes it's better from the kids section!! The JR Ward books are SOOOO raunchy and I'm just not down with that. Don't get me wrong, a good sex scene thrown in here or there is cool, but I'm more of a mystery/fantasy/action kinda gal and those stories border on cheap romance novels and it's just too much. I find myself reading a line and turning beet red on the train hoping to god no one is reading over my shoulder! I read the the Marked series from the kids section it wasn't very good though. LOL!

I bought the first book of the marked series and got about 10 chapters in and just couldn't read anymore.. and I NEVER do that to a book, its only the second time I ever did that. I HAVE to read a book (and series) through... if it su ck s... but that one was just ANNOYING, so thats what made me re-read twilight
but yea, you seem like you might like percy jackson. it is a decent series.. the 'fight' scenes are a little rushed, but there are SO many of them you don't really notice. books 2 and 3 were the easiest to read so far. I accidently read chapt one of the fifth book, when I first heard of the series, I thought I was reading chapt 1 of the first... the fifth book seems to be the best, just based on that chapter. I'm on the 4th and I'm FORCING myself to read it... I thought, based on the title, it would be my favorite.. but its loosing me. I can't wait to re-read twilight. (I'm pathetic ) lol
