Vanderbilt mansion brides - what colors are you using???

ok, for months now i've been trying to figure out what colors to use for my spring/summer wedding. i would like my color 'theme', i.e. my flowers and BM dresses to match the curtains and tapestries at the vanderbilt. i've gone back and forth between light pink (not sure i want to do pastels) and all white (classy, but maybe too... white?). now i'm thinking maybe a burgundy and purple mixture?

so i was wondering... what colors are other vanderbilt brides using?

I'm a past Vanderbilt Mansion bride. My bridesmaids wore black dresses and the flowers were black magic roses, raspberry callas and a yellow/orange confetti rose. I've seen past brides post all different colored bridesmaid dresses--red, purple, etc. I don't think you can go wrong with any color scheme. Good luck!

YAY!!!! a vanderbilt bride answered my post!!!!! thanks for the input i've been stressing about this for a while, probably needlessly, but still...

as of now i'm thinking of going with a shade of red or plum. going to look at your review now for pics of your colors

Do a search in Bride Reviews for Vanderbilt Brides. I think it was ssdare who was married in June 2003 who had red bridesmaid dresses.

I am going with gold bridesmaid dresses and red flowers.

I had white rose centerpieces. My girls wore champagne color dresses and their flowers had orange/red roses. The drapes and tapestries dont over take the room so you can do what you like.
