Vanderbilt museum
I am thinking of possibly having my wedding reception at the Vanderbilt museum in Centerport. Just curious if anyone has attended a wedding there, and what they thought?????

Re: Vanderbilt museum
I grew up right down the road. It is a beautiful area. I have never been to a wedding there but I have heard it is very nice. 2 thing just to consider. 1-there is a BIG site fee. 2-I heard the bathrooms are far from reception area.

Re: Vanderbilt museum
my parents have been to events there and they have been good -the problems are that it has to be a tented wedding
Also the location of the tent goes is over cobblestones which is killer for walking in heels
there are some ohter great mansions though - Oheka, Bourne Mansion, and Vanderbilt Mansion (Boure and Vanderbilt are on the south shore)
