Vanderbilt south beach room divided in two??

has anyone been married at Vanderbilt at south beach with the room closed off and divided in two? I was wondering if it would ruin the entire look of the wedding or how it will look. THe place is beautiful but i cant imagine the room being closed off with a wall. i'm only having 100 pp.
Does anyone have pics or info on that?

Thanks!

My friend got married there last year (was at her wedding). It was closed off in two (she had 120 people). I personally did not like the look of the wall that they put up (looked very industrial) but the room divided in half was a decent size. I considered it for my wedding too, but ultimately ruled against it.

They do a beautiful job though. Other than the wall looking odd (to my taste) the place did a fantastic job with food, service and everything else.

The room doesn't look good divided in half bc the well looks like a divided from a school gymnasium. Also, I've always heard alot of complaints about their food. Did you look at South Shore Country Club? They can hold a smaller wedding and the food is delicious.

I'm from Brooklyn. I considered the Vanderbilt after I went to a wedding there. I actually liked their food. It wasn't the most amazing one I've ever had but nothing to sneeze at.

I'm actually from NJ but looking in staten island, long island, and brooklyn. My biggest issue is that i want a russian menu and the guy at vanderbilt (Igor) said they can do that for me...so that caught my attention but the room being divided in half to accomodate my small wedding of 110 people really scares me, especially now that i have read that it looks tacky. I am back to searching *Sigh*
