Re: vegas part 2!
We stayed at Mandalay Bay 2 years ago it is soooo nice! But it is not in the middle of the strip it is at the end next to Luxor and Excalibur. You have the house of blues in there which is great and the wave pool and lazy river!

We stayed at the Mandalay Bay for my bachelorette party and it was absolutely beautiful. I also like the Venetian Hotel.

Re: vegas part 2!
I'd stay away from: Stardust Flamingo New Frontier based on their age or location.
Center strip is in the area of Bellagio / Ceasars / Ballys
Over Harrahs and Ballys I'd check out, Monte Carlo -they have some great deals only on their website (and its beautiful - wave pool and lazy river pool too). We're staying there in 2 weeks. MGM is nice too.
Mandalay Bay is nice, though a bit south.

Re: vegas part 2!
Mandalay bay is really nice, has a great club called Rumjungle and a nice pool (so I've heard). We stayed at the Treasure Island and that was very nice, great location mid-strip.

I went there on my hm 9/02. Alladin has great deals for rooms, along with treasure island.

Re: vegas part 2!
I'd chose Mandalay Bay. As posted above the location of some are not that great.
Mandalay Bay seemed nice from in the lobby.

Re: vegas part 2!
ok so it's between the mandalay bay and the monte carlo--- the monte carlo is cheaper and in a better location--as of now we are leaning towards that one!! i will chose (hopefully) by the end of the week and let you all know!!

Re: vegas part 2!
I found an AMAZING deal on rooms at the Bellagio on expedia. It was the best IMO of all the hotels - the prices were the same as the MonteCarlo online
I'd also second Caesars - it is huge but really nice. I didn't like the monte carlo as much - a little old looking

Re: vegas part 2!
2003 - I can give you a report on Monte Carlo next week. We'll be there this weekend...paying $125 for Friday night and $175 for Saturday.
I'd have loved to stay at the Bellagio but all the prices I found were $375+

Re: vegas part 2!
thanks, but we won't be gambling (I know, Vegas with no gambling?) We've got other things planned.
if you're going mid-week, definitely check out Bellagio rates, They have some deals on their site for $169 midweek.
