Vegetarian Brides - Past & Present

Are you planning a vegetarian menu - or did you have a vegetarian menu? How did you work out your 'beliefs' (I understand everyone is Veg for different reasons) with 'thinking about your guests' who might not be Veg?

I'm not a full vegan... I eat poultry and fish every now and again.. FH and I decided to get everything from soup to nuts on our menu...just because I don't eat red meat, I felt that I shouldn't have to subject my guests to the same.. I will be offerring a vegetarian meal for my guests who don't eat meat.. I haven't picked my menu yet or else I'd disclose what I was offering.. =)

I'm a vegetarian but I eat dairy & fish. It doesn't bother me when people eat red meat & chicken..it's just my personal choice not to.

Our menu consisted of beef, chicken & fish as the three main courses. Cocktail hour had everything too.

I eat everything, but FI is vegetarian+fish+dairy and we are having a diverse menu, because we think that we should have all the choices for our guests.

I'm vegetarian along with my sister (MOH) and my best friend (BM) is a vegan so I will be sure to have vegetarian and vegan meals available but I am not going to make the rest of the guests eat vegetarian only, though I wish I could!

I am a total vegetarian, but 99% of my guests were not. We had a menu, complete with filet mignon, chicken, and fish, as well as a vegetarian option (which I insisted should be more than just steamed vegetables or pasta). During cocktail hour we had all the typical meat hors d'ouvres and a carving station, but there were also a lot of vegetarian options there too. I didn't think it would be appropriate to have a vegetarian wedding, considering most of my guests were meat lovers!

Most of my family is vegetarian (Hindu), but I'm not and DH's family is not. So, we had the usual choices of meat, chicken, fish, and pasta primavera. The cocktail hour had plenty of cheese/fruit/veggie type stuff. I don't think the vegetarians went home hungry!! I think the most important thing is to just make sure there is one main entree that they can eat.

Ask Sasha96. I think she is on her honeymoon right now, but I know she had a vegetarian wedding.

We knew that there would be about 6 vegitarians at our wedding...so we made sure that there was a vegitarian option...

also went to a wedding...adn there were 2 veg options...along with meat...

I really just don't prefer meat...but if you were a strong animal rights activist...you may want to think about what you serve...and find a hall that can 'cater' to your needs
