I love the flower idea

also think with your dress you should try a mantilla veil, i know i told you this already and know what you said hahaha...but while youre at the store just try it on with the dress, no harm in doing so just to see how it looks with your dress

I swear I was just going to suggest the same thing. You could just say I'm partial to them because I'm wearing one myself, BUT, I remember exactly what you're dress looks like and I happen to think that not only would it not overpower it or be too much, but it would be perfect. I really do. You can get lace to match the dress (if you want, that's what I did) and you can even have them put a few crystals on the lace as well to match the dress. I swear Helen, i think it will look stunning. I get the feeling from Denise's post that maybe you weren't so hot on them...but just give it a try. You might like it.

thanks babe, I think i am going to do what denise said and go back and try the whole look to see if maybe i jumped to a quick conclusion when i said no

Mrsbartontobe did the mantilla veil with that clip too and it looked great. this way when you take the veil off (should you decide to use one) you are still sparkly and stuff!

great point danielle...so she can do the mantilla look and without it later on

ITS WHAT YOU said, that maybe with the work on the dress the mantilla might be too much, but im going to start a mantilla campaign for helen

'mantilla campaign for helen', that sounds so official!

It is, and I'm stumping for it. Also, i'm only wearing the mantilla for the ceremony...so remember you don't HAVE to wear it the whole time. After the ceremony it comes off and I'm actually now deciding between something like what Danielle posted or a comb (I'm wearing a low chignon in the back) because I don't want to feel hair-naked when the veil comes off.

Also, just thought I'd add (for the mantilla campaign) that when you showed the pic of you in the dress I said to myself, 'that would look gorgeous with a mantilla'. I swear.
