Veil Alterations

I have 4 sisters and we have passed down a cathedral veil since the oldest got married... I will be the last to wear it, and I want to have it altered to a fingertip length veil. I also am considering adding some swarovski crystals along the edge or scattered throughout.

I don't want to ask Kleinfelds (where i got my dress) to do it because i don't want to wait until 2 months before the wedding when i go for my first fitting, in case there are any problems.

Can anyone recommend a place to do veil alterations? Does Barron's do that?
