Veil during reception

Re: Veil during reception

I tried to keep it on the whole night, but when i went to say hello to the tables when my guests hugged me they keep on tugging it until someone finally almost pulled it off so I gave up on that idea lol

Hmm, I was thinking not to wear it at all, but now I'm thinking I might wear it for the first dance, not sure though.

Right now I am thinking I will keep my veil on all night. It is short/elbow length and it covers my upper arms a bit. If it bothers me i'll take it off...lucky for me a girlfriend is doing my hair and attending our wedding

Keeping it on the entire night. My feeling is.. you are only a bride once in your lifetime..you'll only get to wear it once.....why not relish it and keep it on all night....

i agree.. princess for a day.. the whole day.. and night

i have a cathedral length veil and i have a fingertip on top of that, they are both removable with snaps and velcro.

I Am taking my pics at OWG before the ceremony with both veils.
After the ceremony i will probably take off the long veil, and just wear the shorter one for the cocktail and reception, if its anoying me i will take it off

This is totally my feeling. I've dreamt of the veil and the dress and I want to be in full bride gear all night!

I'm wearing it the whole night - mine's a fingertip length and it's very pretty. Plus - I feel like the veil and train is what makes me a bride and the train's getting bustled....

I am taking mine off as soon as ceremony and pictures is over. I didn't want a veil in the first place but FH insisted on it his grandmonther said it was bad luck not to... of course she also is giving him a piece of iron for his pocket (Toc Ferro). I don't know I keep getting all of this folklore and stuff thrown at me from FH's family they are Italian and BELIEVE....

Even got grief because of the time of the wedding 3p so i am not actually doing my walk until 3:30p something about the upsweep of the clock hand... my FSIL (MOH) seriously said she would hold up the wedding until that time if I did not agree.

Mine is cathedral length so I am only wearing it for the ceremony. Then I am switching to a flower in my hair for the rest of the night.

Me too, I plan on wearing it for as long as possible, but I got a flower to stick in my hair in case I take the veil off..
