veil help

I hope someone can help, I want to wear my mom's veil but I need to attach a new comb to the inside of it. (She originally had this hat thing). Does anyone know which direction the comb goes when I sew it inside? That is, should the teeth of the comb face forwards or backwards? Thanks. If you could post picks of how your veil is attached to its comb I would really appreciate it.

I thought youre supposed to put it in backward and then flip but isnt the comb supposed to be curved against your head??
