Veil help!!!

So my mom was telling me that I can have someone make my veil and all I have to do is buy the material .......anybody have this done? Bc I dunno where to go to get it and hear its so much cheaper

I'm sure a reputable tailor or seamstress would be able to help you out with that, I'm just not sure who. If I find someone I'll let you know! I'd love to do this as well. I want a lace cathedral mantilla, and they start around $1,000 NO WAY I'm spending that much for the veil lol.

i attempted to make one...a two tier cathedral & blusher
have to try it on with my dress though to see if it came out ok
i figure if its not good worst case i threw away $10 and ill order on etsy

i ordered my Cathedral Veil from here and it is Gorgeous! You can completely customize your veil by speaking to someone on the phone and mine was a special order. I got a 120 inche veil, completely customized to my taste for only $96 with shipping!
it doesn't look cheap at all! looks just like my beautiful Symphony veil that I bought from RK Bridal and matches perfectly!

However, you can buy the tulle yourself from any fabric store, especially if you are in the city, in the Fashion District. Ask around at any local tailor shop and see if they have ever done anything like this and ask to see samples

You may want to try ETSY. There are a lot of people on there who feature veils and they may be willing to do something you want to design. HTH

I am not sure about doing that. I'm sure if you find a good seamstress it can easily be done. I have to say I got my veil off etsy.com
I got a cathedral veil with Swarovski crystals hand sewn throughout it and the lady charged me $100!!!!! I just got it the other day and it is awesome! I originally picked out a similar veil where I bought my dress but it was $799 and I really didn't want to spend that. If you want me to give you the info about who the person was that made it I would be glad to.

FYI... If you are not happy with what she makes you can ship it back and she will change anything you want. Etsy.com is an awesome site and you can contact sellers and they will custom make things for you for a quarter of the price in stores.

I want a cathedral veil with a type of lace around the edges ...i saw one at the store i got my dress but it was not a cathedral one....i know what i want but for some reason i cant find it ....weird
