I am having a debate with my mother in law regarding my veil. Please tell me if you are walking down the aisle with it over your face. I don't think i want to and my fmil keeps talking about it.
Help???

I don't want to, but I don't feel that strongly about it not being over my face... my mother had a fit when she found out... so it will be over my face. I call it, picking my battles.

I think you should do whatever makes you feel comfortable. Walking into the ceremony is a huge moment. If it helps to see your groom smiling right at you, or everyone else smiling at you too, then no blusher. If you think you want the tradition and/or you like the idea of having a little separation from all those people, then wear it. Either way, I am a firm believer that you may have to pick your battles with the reception - but the ceremony is for you two more than anyone else. I don't give a hoot what anyone says - in the minutes before you make the biggest commitment of your life, you should be totally comfortable. Do what you want.

One of my favorite pics is of my dad walking me down the aisle and you can see a hint of my face through my veil as I look at Dh standing there. The look on his face when my dad lifted my veil up was priceless.
I'm walking down the with the veil over my face at the request of FH.

I wore mine the entire ceremony until DH kissed me. There was something about having it on that made me feel like a real bride. To be perfectly honest, I had to blow it off of my face once in a while, but it wasn't annoying enough to make me regret my decision. One of my favorite pics that I have so far is of me walking down the aisle with my parents. They both look shell-shocked and all I could see was DH, and there's something about the veil over my face that I think softens my look.
