I am getting a Cathedral length with a crystal spray that will adorn the back of my head (against my hair style) I will have no tiara in the front-- and then I will take off my veil after our first dance.
Here's a pic for an idea of what it will look like (you can't see the spray in this pic-- I will have pics of that later on when I actually pick it up)...
I have always wanted a cathedral veil...I LOVE them (not sure if it will work with my dress) ~ But I would want to take it off after the first dance ~ I can't picture me wearing it all night!

I will be having both the cathedral and elbow length. My mom really wants me to have the cathedral for the church and pics. I will keep the elbow for the reception.

So I order the one that matched my dress, however I keep looking for a cathedral veil but don't see anything I like. And I plan on taking it off after our first dance. So I am keeping what I ordered for now.

Why don't you try going to Barron's in Tri-County. They can custom make any veil you want for a very reasonable price. I don't know where you live but Tri-County is in Levittown/East Meadow - I can never remembmer.

I'm not sure how it works, but I am getting a cathedral veil and then a shorter one to wear at the reception. I don't know if it's a 2 in one thing or I have to buy 2 seperate veils.

I'm thinking fingertip, at the moment. I feel like the cathedral length just might be too long and clumsy me will end up messing it up somehow..haha

I originally wanted a french net cage veil- But went with something more traditional, I didn't want to regret trying to look hip. First is the cage I wanted, I might still buy one to see what it looks like... Second is the one I bought- fingertip length silk tulle.
I tried on a cathedral veil and loved it but didn't think it was practical JMO. So I got a fingertip one and I like it so much better. Here is the pic:
