Veil Question

Veil Question

What is a detachable veil? Not one you just take off. I have heard where brides have a layer that is detachable. Is that the blusher? Why would it need to be detached? Can it just go in the back?

I had a cathedral length veil with a blusher. The blusher actually was the part that was attached to the comb. The cathedral part had velcro on it and came off at the reception.
