Veil Question

I would like to wear a cathedral length veil. I don't like the way blushers look on me so I was thinking that I would wear an elbow length veil as a blusher. Has anyone done this? Do you think it will look alright?

Also, I was going to switch the cathedral with a fingertip for the reception. After thinking about it, and not wanting to spend the $ on a fingertip, I think that I will just remove the cathedral and wear only the elbow veil- again, do you think it will look ok?

I have a fingertip with a blusher and a detachable cathedral.
