Veil Question

Veil Question

I have 2 questions about a veil:

1)will a single layer cathedral veil work with this dress on half up half down updo?

2)if you used either glamgal or veilshop to buy your veil, what has been your experience with them?

Below is the picture of the dress.

Re: Veil Question

I am using Glamgal for my veil. I have not received it yet but so far my experience has been great. I emailed here some pictures of me in the dress. When then talked for a long time about what I wanted and what she suggested would look good. She is very nice. I would call here and not email. She does not respond to emails quickly. Good luck. I should be receiving mine in a couple of weeks.

I think a cathdral veil would look wonderful, but I'm partial because I'm getting a 2 tier cathedral.

Re: Veil Question

I think a 1 tier cathedral veil would look really nice with a 1/2 up 1/2 down hair style... That's what I'm doing... so I guess that's why i like it...

Single layer cath. veil will definitely work!

Re: Veil Question

I love cathedral length veils. They are beautiful and work with almost every dress. For yours, I would do a single layer (sheer) because there is a lot of detail on the train you wouldn't want to hide it. If not just stick with fingertip or elbow.

My SIL bought her veil and headpiece (bun wrap) from veilshop and said she had a good eperience with them.

Re: Veil Question

Used glamgal, excellent experience.

I think any veil is going to be slight competition with a halfup/half down do but that is a factor of the hairstyle, not the veil.

Thanks for everyone's replies... I'll price both of them and pick one to use.

Sage, bumping this for you!!!

Re: Veil Question

Oh Alina - your dress is beautiful!!!! I think a cathedral length, single layer will be PERFECT!!!!!
I wouldn't want anything to compete with the intricasies (sp?) of the dress!!!
