Hi Girls... I am hoping someone can help me out...
Do you have to get your veil and/or headpiece at the same place you get your dress?? or is there a place that I can go to for them and buy them seperately?
I am ordering my dress this week!!! ... and when I tried it on and made my decision 2 weeks ago, the women put a veil on me and it was nice, but I am not sure if i LOVE it. I know I want my veil to have beading on the edges, but I want it to match my dress... am I wrong in wanting this?? The veil the women put on me, did match, but not 100%.
Also, when I was getting a haircut this week, the women told me that when I come in for a trial, to make sure I have my veil and headpiece so she can see where it will look best, and she told me to make sure the veil has beading on both sides....On the veil the women had me put on, I don't think there was beading on both sides of the veil (so it won't be seen on the blusher )
Any ideas or suggestions??? Thanks Girls!

Re: Veil Question
Go to Barron's in Tri-County! They have a HUGE selection and are much less expensive than the bridal salons! They can do pretty much anything Just bring a picture of your dress with you, and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out.
I ordered mine about 2 weeks ago and can't wait for it to come in.

Re: Veil Question
Most of us on this site, I'd say, bought our veils at Barron's in Tri-Country.
As for the beading on your veil, it doesn't have to match your dress exactly, but they should at least be complimentary. In other words, I wouldn't get a sparkly veil with lots of sequins if your dress only has pearls.
You can bring your veil and headpiece in when you go for a trial, but it's not essential. I didn't have them yet when I went for my first trial, but I brought them for a second trial (b/c I changed my mind with my hairstyle). The person doing your hair should have a veil you can borrow. And the trial is more to make sure you know you like the person and the hair style. Any good hair stylist should be able to put a hair piece on the day of w/o any problems.
And finally, you definitley do NOT need beading on both side of your veil. In fact, I've never seen this. You have 2 choices - either get a plain blusher w/o any beading. Or, just wear the beading facing you for the few minutes your veil covers your face when you walk down the aisle. Most girls just do this 2nd option.
ETA: You can hardly tell the beading is facing you when you're walking down the aisle. And moreover, who cares?
