Veil Question, need help!

Ok, so I bought the veil that matched my dress last year. I didn't care how long it was or anything at that point! Well, its an elbow length veil. The problem is...I was planning to wear it under my updo. So, now that I have tried it on with a face updo, its so long and ends mid thigh.

Is that too long to have a veil just laying there down my back? Will it look stupid? I might just have to s/uck it up and wear it over my updo, but I really don't want to!

What do you girls think? Will it look bad? Also keep in mind that its a very detailed veil with lots of beadwork, flowers, crystals and what not.
