i am having so much trouble finding a veil i like!!! even simple beading or a pencil trim seems to be too much with my dress, which is very simple with some embroidery on the front and train. would it be so terrible to have a plain veil with nothing on the tulle? i don't have a headpiece yet, but most likely i won't be getting anything more elaborate than a small comb - my hair is too short for anything else.
i even tried barrons with no luck... argh!! does anyone else have a plain veil?

Re: Veil VENT!
have you tried Michaels or AC Moore? They have plain veils for very cheap just on a plain comb.
My veil has no ornamentation at all. Its just plain & I love it. I paid $64 for it at a local bridal shop in Rhode Island but then I saw a plain one at Michaels for less.

I think you should get whatever you'd like - I don't think having a plain veil is bad. Mine is very simple - plain ivory tulle with a very thin ivory satin corded edge. i didn't want anything overshadowing my dress or taking away from my DOJ, which is a family heirloom.

Re: Veil VENT!
YES - I have a plain veil and I LOVE it.
The edging created waaaaay too many lines and looked ridiculous with my dress. Any lace work or beading was just too much.
I have a 3-tier (cathedral, fingertip, elbow) veil that is plain tulle. (The top has a few - very few - crystals scattered throughout it, but they are so tiny and so few that it just makes the veil shine a bit -- If you are having a blusher, don't get the crystals on that party - it can cause spots on your pictures when it's in front of your face!)

Re: Veil VENT!
I had a beautiful embroidered cathedral veil that I was going to wear but decided on the day of that I liked a plain veil instead. So, that's what I wore.......just a plain cut edge veil.....one tier. It was perfect for me. so I say go for it if you like it! Less is more you know
mine is a single layer, ivory, non-poofy top, finger-tip length with a thin ivory satin trim. got it at Macy's in Manhasset

Re: Veil VENT!
I think a plain veil can be soooo elegant! I LOVE he cut edge plain veils - basically it's JUST tulle, unfinished edge, on a comb - that's it. Nothing else.
Definitely try one of these two places - the prices and customer service are GREAT.
Occansey Designs - She can custom make ANY kind of veil for you.
TruPink - You can order any length veil with or without embellishments.
