pls check 'veil' album!! do you like this veil with my dress? should it be shorter? do you think this dress even needs a veil?
tried a bunch of veils (all scary poofy), then i tried this lace accented one on, which matches the detail on my 'jacket,' and loved it. Note: I was going to order it a little shorter.
I have to call the shop to give them the go ahead to order it for me or not so would love opinions!!
wedding is laid back, outdoor ceremony.

The veil looks great with your dress BUT I have to agree-I think its too much-I like the other one better

I like the lace-edged one a lot. And I think it's a good idea practically, as I've heard that lighter veils can blow around a lot in outdoor weddings. Which is why I'm not getting too excited about mine--if I have to leave it off because of the wind, then I won't mind too much.
I think the lace is beautiful and you should go with that one. The other veils didn't seem to have any reference to the gown, and were kinda poofy.

Personally, I like the lace veil. I don't think it's too much at all. I think it looks beautiful.

thats what drew me to this veil initially. i definitely dont like the poofiness of the second one. i dont even know at this point if ill go with a veil with this dress. i dont like short ones and really long ones are way too dramatic for what im going for (outdoor ceremony and if its windy would be nightmare). clueless right now as to what would be best but really appreciate all the input.
was looking at what some other marisa brides did with it... (but they both had up-dos and my hair wil be down)

With your gown, I'd say go with the lace veil, or a very plain drop veil. Except that a very plain drop veil wouldn't work well in an outdoor setting. I don't like any of those other veils--they just don't go with the gown, in my opinion. Yes, there's a lot of lace there, and you could possibly look for a veil with a thinner lace edging, but I think your example looked beautiful and dramatic. This is your wedding day, after all, why not be dramatic? And it really 'goes' with the dress. It's OK to have a dramatic veil--one of the most beautiful things I've seen lately was an older Romona Keveza ad with a drop veil over a plain satin gown--the veil was cathedral length (or close) and had a satin edging that had to be 2' or wider. It looked amazing.
I love the first veil. If it were me, I'd go for it. And there was a celeb wedding recently where someone wore a similar gown and veil, and I cannot remember who it was. I think the look's going to be very stylish in a year or two, as these things often trickle down to us more ordinary brides! It's going to bug me until I remember...

I Love the veil ~ but with the lace jacket I think it takes away from the dress alittle bit ~ I would go with a simpler veil...

I ilke the idea of the lace veil, maybe you can wear it without the jacket for the ceremony .... then lose the veil and switch to wearing the jacket for the reception.
is that stupid?
I love the lace veil and it does match perfectly but it distracts from the jacket... so I would say if you want to keep the jacket on during the ceremony wear the veil without the lace.
anyone agree?

gorgeous dress! I think a plain veil would look pretty with that dress.
I totally agree.. Just a plain veil, no trim.
Beautiful dress!

My honest opinion is that you are hiding your GORGEOUS DRESS with that veil.
The dress has a lot of special details (lace, sash) so I think the veil should be TOTALLY PLAIN, and, be short; well above the sash. Ask for what they call a 'flyaway' It is short.

i like the veil, but not with your dress. you have a lot of gorgeous stuff going on with the jacket and the sash and even when you take off the jacket - that something simpler veilwise would be my choice. but im also a simple person..

I wouldn't do the veil thing. I love the way your dress looks without it...Very pretty!
