veil, would like honest opinions

pls check 'veil' album!! do you like this veil with my dress? should it be shorter? do you think this dress even needs a veil?

tried a bunch of veils (all scary poofy), then i tried this lace accented one on, which matches the detail on my 'jacket,' and loved it. Note: I was going to order it a little shorter.

I have to call the shop to give them the go ahead to order it for me or not so would love opinions!!

wedding is laid back, outdoor ceremony.

I really do LOVE that veil, but I think it's too much lace going on on the top.........But I like the not so poofy look

Beautiful gown by the way!!

i think with the jacket and the veil its too much lace, what about just the veil w/o the jacket?

Love the veil with the dress I would go with a thinner trim of lace though. You look great!!

I have to agree. I love the veil but I think it is taking away from the dress. Maybe a more simple veil would suit it better. BTW the dress is beautiful and looks great on you!

I don't think its too much lace. I think it looks great.

yea, as i look at the pic, im starting to think maybe that dress with that much lace may not need a veil or at least one with a tad less lace on it. thanks SO much for honest opinions

what do you think about no veil, just simple tiara??

beautiful veil and beautiful dress- but i think it is too much lace when worn together.

gorgeous dress! I think a plain veil would look pretty with that dress.

HI date twin!! I like the look, and am glad you bring up the idea of the jacket and veil, because, ironically, I have a lace dress with jacket, too, and never thought of it..I think everything looks great..perhaps a plainer veil? I think that's what I may go for, and perhaps not wear it the entire night (see, now you got me thinking!!) Beautiful dress, great date !!!

jacket...BOUGHT :)

i really liked that peice about the dress, the jacket that is, so im thinking ill just have to go simpler on something else. simple tiara or hair pin maybe. i prob wont be wearing jacket for reception tho.

thank you girls! this was a huge help!!!

first of all i LOVE your dress...w/ the jacket and without it! I like the second veil with the thin edging..the lace edges one is beautiful but steals some of the attention from the dress...if you don't like the poof of it get a single layer...I am getting a single layer veil because i don't like poof either (pic in wedding dress album)

thx for input. yep, i like ur single layer...i need to try on a few more less poofy ones and then try with just a tiara or pin and see what looks best.

I like veil #1, and agree with others that thinner lace would likely be better... One thing that you should avoid is a veil that ends where you jacket or sash ends... It will visually cut you in half....

How about a waltz length mantilla with thin lace edging? (it would be unpoofy and would end at about the ankles).
