Is anyone NOT wearing a veil at all? I really don't want to and I don't know if it will look wrong. I am going to have a headpiece and put my hair up. I just think that a veil is just something else to have on my body that day that might annoy me. I'm getting married 7/28 and I'm so afraid it's going to be hot and the veil will just be in the way. What is everyone else doing? Thanks!

Well... I wasn't into the veil thing either, but after seeing pictures of brides at their weddings without one, it doesn't seem right. They don't look like brides. The veil is the finished touch. Think of it like this... you only wear it once, you're only a bride once in your life (hopefully), so why not! To me it makes the look complete. Without it, it looks like something is missing. I'm wearing a headpiece with my hair up and the veil at the back of my head, so it doesn't annoy me. I'm not using a blusher either. That would annoy me. Do what you like, I just think you don't look like a bride without it! Just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Im think the veil will really annoy me - so Im taking it off right after the ceremony.

I haven't decided yet - I need to wait for my dress to come in and then see how it looks. I always assumed I would (not a blusher, just a regular veil) but my dress comes with a shawl, so it may be too much if I did have a veil on.....
You won't be less of a bride without one so don't feel obligated just because it's tradition

I am NOT going to wear a veil, and I think it's perfectly fine not to these days! I'm not a very traditional person and I am not crazy about the whole history behind wearing a veil. I am getting married in the Spring and plan to wear some flowers in my hair instead. All of my friends wore veils and they looked beautiful but, it's just not for me! Whatever you do...DO NOT let everyone make your decision for you! Everyone has been saying to me...'You have to wear a veil!' Wear what you feel comfortable with...That will make you feel most beautiful on your wedding day! Good Luck!
