Re: VEILS!!!

Honestly, I never would. I don't feel like it's worth it for a piece of tulle that I'll only wear for about an hour. I balked when the bridal store told me $250 for the veil I liked. I purchased mine for $100 at Barron's.

ETA: No blusher!

Re: VEILS!!!

Mine was $165 at Barron's. It's two tier, so I'm using the top tier as a blusher during the ceremony.

Honestly, IMO it's crazy. Sorry! Don't want to offend anyone. I just don't see the point..at least FOR ME.

I don't want to spend more than $50. I'm only going to wear it during the ceremony and some pictures. I don't really like them. I want to get mine from ebay or somewhere so it's VERY cheap.

Re: VEILS!!!

im spending 270 for mine at barrons
my mom got caught up and wanted me to have a cathedral veil.
so its a 2 tier fingertip with crystals and pearls on a stick with a velcro cathedreal attachment for the church.

Re: VEILS!!!

I'm using a vendor on etsy.com. I'm getting 2 veils, one for the ceremony and one for the reception.
A custom made cathedral for $75 and a cage veil for $22.50.

I almost bought a $400 veil, but then my Mom's friend said she'd make one for me! woohoo! I just have to buy the materials.

NO Blusher.

$145 at barrons, its a 2 tiered, using as a blusher for church and it has some pretty crystal/pearly detail, but not alot!

Re: VEILS!!!

my FMIL wanted to buy me a nice one. I didn't want to spend a lot. She insisted...got it at Barrons for like 150...

I had bought one for my second dress on ebay for 15 bucks..I woulda wore that for first too...IMO it's just a veil!

Re: VEILS!!!

If I got it through my bridal store it's $600. At Barron's in tri County it's $220 w/blusher. So yes i'm getting a blusher.

I think it all depends on your personal preference. Personally, I'm not spending more then $250 on my veil. I'd rather put that $ towards jewelry.

Re: VEILS!!!

I tried on ones that i loved at some bridal salons but they were around 400 which i thought was nuts since I am not wearing it after the ceremony. I ordered one from Barron's for 120 which looked almost identical to one at Helen's that was 385!! Also, David's has some really nice and affordable veils.
