Ok, I know this question has probably been asked a million times, but do you think it is appropriate for an older bride, to wear a veil?Originally, I was thinking of a bird cage, but I am kinda moving away from that because I dont think I could pull one off.
I will be 41, this is my second marriage. I am getting married in a church, at a mass, and feel that maybe I might want to wear a veil. I dont think I would look as 'bride like' (???) without one.
Opinions???

I think if you want to wear a veil you can, I do not see what is wrong with it at all. JMO

If it makes you uncomfortable with a veil, you can always go with bridal hair pins. There are different assortments of pins with feathers, beads, etc. or go with a fingertip veil which has the right amount of coverage and length. I personally don't feel age has anything to do with wearing a veil. If you want to go all out, it's your wedding, you have to do what makes you happy. I'm a big fan of birdcage veil. I wish, I've done that for my wedding. It looks so glamorous in photos.

Go ahead and wear one! I will be 41 when FH and I say 'I Do' and I plan on wearing a veil.
There's no age limit on being a bride.

I am 35 and feel the same way you do, so I am going with a birdcage veil.

I was 41, as you can see from my album, I rocked the veil! However birdcage is super in style, if you see the episode of say yes with the Napa bride, she had a beautiful birdcage!

I rocked my veil too and was 36. . I did wear a simple but that had more to do with my personal taste than what was expected! Go for it!!

I was 40 when I got married and I never thought twice about wearing a veil. It's your wedding...and you are the bride...wear it if you want and don't even worry about anyone else's opinions hon!!
eta: You could post this on the Official 30+ Brides thread too

Re: Veils and the 'Older Bride'
I will be 42. I am wearing a veil. A simple one only because my dress has so much detailing on it. It's more about fashion then age for me. But if I wore a simple dress, I'd wear a longer detailed one.
