Veils & Headpieces

Veils & Headpieces

Ok ladies I know that everyone is suggesting to go to Barrons but are there any other places that are affordable as well? I would love to get the veil and headpiece from my bridal salon just bc it makes more sense and I don't have to stress but it may be expensive. Not sure though.

IMO, the veils from bridal salons are extremely overpriced. I know ppl have already recommended Barron's, but you should seriously go there. They have so many different kinds and are willing to customize anything and everything. I found a veil I liked there but I wanted it shorter, 1 tier, and with rhinestones and it was NO problem! I go pick it up soon!

How did you do this without your dress with you though? My dress is an off white and I have an idea what I want but not sure what it will look like with my dress. Can you return it if you don't like the way it looks with your dress?

I don't believe you can return it. You can call the bridal salon and try to get a swatch of your dress, but I just went without it. They have a book with all different fabric samples, maybe like 15-20 of them, and you pick which one is closest to your dress. I chose the light ivory for mine.

You cannot return to Barons

What I am going to do this summer is go try on headpieces at my salon with my dress on and see what I like then I will head to Barons see if they have something similar and if not then bite the bullet and buy it from the salon

FH's aunt is also offering for me to use her headpiece from her wedding which is very elegant but my mom was a bit taken back about me using it.

I got my veil from BellaBridalVeils on Etsy- fingertip, 2 tier with crystal/beaded edging for about $70, and my Comb from weddingfactorydirect.com for $18!

I just purchased my veil from an etsy vendor 'abusymother' a 2 tier cathedral veil with a pencil edge, and scattered crystals for $76 including shipping. She is making the blusher detachable and is even cutting it a special way i saw in a picture.

I went to Bridal Styles in Brooklyn...they were reasonably priced compared to bridal stores. Plus once you pick out what you want they can customize it for you...they are also a diamond card vendor on this website...I believe...

Good luck!

I went with ebay..super cheap (less than $20 for a 2 tier with scattered crystals) so even if it doesn't go with my dress I can get another one.
