Re: VEILS

If I order the dress I think I am, I will be getting the second one. Bridal Reflections gave me a quote of $195 for it.

LOL, really? Well since I didn't order my dress yet, I wasn't even thinking of veils but yea, the second one was the one I was quoted $195 for ... a bit of a profit for them ... jeeze! I'll have to definitely research all that before I order anything!!!!!
Thank you!

Re: VEILS

I purchased the mantilla that matches my gown, for $400 at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue.

Re: VEILS

I went to Patchogue FLoral to try some one, and had them order it for me at Burton's, since the veil was included in the price of the dress I bought.

I got a plain veil with a glimmer material, with scallopped edges, so there was no detail to match the dress.

Re: VEILS

I just ordered my veil last month handmade from this little Italian lady in Manhattan. It was only $125, and she is giving me handmade swarvorski snowflakes for my hair as well.

Re: VEILS

I bought both my veil and tiara from ebay...$25 each. The veil is just plain (no crystals or anything) and comes on a detachable comb. It was exactly what I wanted and I didn't have to spend a fortune.

Really???? only $85 online? I think that's the veil I ordered from Bridal Reflections when I bought my dress. Uggh.... that's so annoying... Oh well, can't do anything about it now:(

My veil matches my dress. It was originally 1200 but they came down to 750.

I bought my veil and headpiece at Patchogue Floral. My veil is a waterfall veil, (full) plain. The headpiece is simple too. It had blue ice rhinestones on it that match my gown. I also had them attach the headpiece to the veil. It cost me $120 all together.

how much did/are you pay(ing)? $150

Where did you buy it? Francine's Cosmetique in Sayville

How did you make sure it matched your dress: Had Austrian crystals sewn onto it.

I am having a headpiece made from the pearls and crystals from my mom's headpiece (her idea and I liked it) and I have been quoted 225-275. I am okay with it. It will be gorgeous

My MOH made my headpiece from scratch (she took a lot of jewelry making classes).. she made the headpiece from Swarovski Crystals and fresh water pearls. I have no idea what it would retail for, but she spent about $150 in materials.

She also made the veil portion, but unfortunately, the color tulle didn't match my dress. So the week before the wedding we had another veil custom made to attach to the headpiece, and it was $250 (I'm sure I got ripped off b/c it was so last minute-but what can you do?)

I got mine from Patchogue Floral for $40. It was fairly long, two tiered and had 1/8th inch ribbon edging. It was very pretty. I had been quoted prices of about $300.00 from boutiques and was not prepared to pay that.
