I am in the process of picking my photographer. Most of them will let you book now. What pisss me off is those ones that state we don't make appt for 09 brides till 08. That is a chance you hate to take because by then they may not have the pkgs you like.
Would you go wait or book asap with someone that is also reputable.

Thats a tough call..i probably would book with someone else who i liked as much and who had a good reputation...i wouldnt want to take any chances...

if i really wanted a photographer, and he said he didnt book until 08....then i would wait till january 08 to call him and start booking then....you can always ask them if theyre packages are mostly likely to change by 08

I originally wanted Angelica Glass and she doesn't book until like a year before the wedding and i wasn't comfortable with that....what if you wait and then they book up for your date...so I found another amazing photog, Leli, and it turned out great because now I am locked in to 07 prices. He was saying that making the albums always go up in price every year because of supplies and all so I got the most expensive album....I wonder how much it would be in 09.

I would keep looking, you'll find someone you love and if you don't '08 isnt that far away and then you'll be able to look at the ones that would meet with you yet.

ditto...I'm on the same boat...but I rather wait and be happy than spend alot of money on something I dont love....I only say this because when it comes to weddings there is no 'do-over.'

very good point. you only have ( your 1st wedding ) once and you want to do it right! so i'd look around, but wait til january to book anywhere that way you get to check out the person you really want.

I am sorry but I wouldnt wait. I would find a vendor that does equally as good work and that is booking now. There are too many vendors out there to settle.
