I am just starting to look at vendors and wanted to know about deposits. When you go to a photographer/florist/dj/limo place what do they usually require for a deposit?

These are the deposits that i put down:
photo/video: $1,000 florist: $750 dj: $250

For my DJ, I put down a $200 deposit. Florist: 10%. I think I put down $1000 for photo/video.
150.00- flowers 500.00- DJ 500.00-Photo 50.00-Limo

i would suggest asking the vendors what their deposits are like because as you can see from the replies, it varies greatly. for us it was:
DJ: $400 Florist: $100 Photo: around 15% or $500

I had to put down 1/3 of the total cost for the DJ. The Photographer/videographer deposit was 30% of the total cost. I did not choose flowers or limos yet so I do not know what the deposits are going to be.
