How much did you have to put down on the Photographer and DJ as a deposits?

My dad freakkkkked out when I told him what we were told by one. he's freaking out at everything... but anyway.

Thanks for your help!

Re: Vendor Deposits

photo- $500
DJ- $500

Some people though, are TOTALLY out of their mind. My Mariachi band- obtained from an LIW vendor required a $1000 deposit! W T F That's 75% of the payment. I think it's insane but I didn't have much choice....if I did, I would have gone elsewhere on principal alone.

Honestly, any vendor who wants a deposit more than 25% is nuts.

Re: Vendor Deposits

For my DJ, my deposit was $300. And for my photographer, originally it would have been $700 (50% down), but he is sooo nice that he was willing to take the 25% now and in a few months take the next 25%.
