Vendor Deposits

How much did you have to put down on the Photographer and DJ as a deposits?

My dad freakkkkked out when I told him what we were told by one. he's freaking out at everything... but anyway.

DJ: $400

Photo/Video was 20% so it was like $1,040
DJ $500

I put $200 down on photographer, $200 on video, and $500 down on DJ.

photo- i left 325 I think
video- 500
dj- 200

You have to keep in mind that your total amount will often change the deposit and also many vendors will require less of a deposit if your date is further away and then just require a certain amount by another date (say 6 months from your wedding)

Also there were a few vendors who I wanted to book but couldnt afford the deposit that they were asking for and then often said I could leave a lower amount.
