Vendor Help/Photo Locations

I got engaged in December 2010 and my wedding is October 6, 2012. We are busy making all of our plans now since I am off for the summer (teacher). We will be hopefully putting a deposit on our reception hall tomorrow and I am currently looking for any and all vendor recommendations. My ceremony is in Patchogue and the hall is nearby so I am also looking for places to take pictures in between ceremony and reception. The hall doesn't offer a lot for grounds and we are hoping to go someplace where the fall colors will really pop in our photos. Thanks so much!!

im not really familiar w/ photo locations where you mentioned but if i hear of something ill post - im sure other girls will have the answer!!!

we booked w/ patken, pedestals, and after hours for photography, flowers, and dj, respectively! we love them all and they have each been gr8 in their own way so i would highly recommend them we also met w/ tonsss of other vendors, though, so if you have any specific qs feel free to ask

the town of oyster bay planting fields is beautiful and is really central LI not really east or west, just slightly north.

Hey! We're date twins!!! I'm having my ceremony in Sayville so not so far off from you! We're doing pictures at the Sayville beach and the other beach that is right down the road from there (both off Foster Ave in Sayville if you want to take a drive to see). The Sayville beach doesn't offer any trees but the other one down the road does, its also has a cute playground for some fun pictures and a building to stand against as well. Plus there is also a dock you can walk down and take pics on so you kinda get a bunch of stuff for pictures. I can look online and see if I can find pictures from there, I know some people took engagement photos there as well.

ETA: I think this might be more of what you are looking for for a picture location. Byron Lake Park

Byron Lake Park
Bayview Avenue, Oakdale
Phone: (631) 472-7043

I haven't been there in years but they use to have a gazebo that actually went out over the water, not sure if it is still there but it should have the fall look you are going for with the trees plus it has the lake as well.
