Just wondering...I know a lot of RHs require your vendors to have a certain amount in liability insurance. Anyone ever encounter a problem is your vendor falls short? just wondering... really read the fine print on the contracts...and mine requires our vendors to have a least $2M insurance policy....

Re: Vendor Liability Insurance
I didnt read the amount but most of my vendors has done wedding at woodbury before so everything should check out. But if some of your vendors dont meet that requirement i think they get strict when it comes to that.

Re: Vendor Liability Insurance
I had some rec vendors and some non-rec vendors and all were fine....I never thought about it. Most reputable vendors have that already but you can ask them before you book to make sure

Re: Vendor Liability Insurance
most vendors will have that. JT checked with all our vendors and they were all fine and covered. I have read other girls posting about this, i remember somebody hired a dj that didn't have the insurance required. In that situation not sure what you can do. Either that vendor gets what they need. I think this wasn't a dj who normally did weddings. But as wedding vendors who do events every weekend they KNOW what is required of them from the RH. If they don't have this then I would personally be worried bc how did they do past events if they didn't have this, i would wonder if they have done other events. Is this a new vendor that just started out or lets say a dj that just doesn't do weddings, lets say just did clubs. Because even if they did other weddings, they had to have the insurance in order to perform at the wedding.

Re: Vendor Liability Insurance
Well...I figured 1M would be enough, but the photog I just booked with doesn't have insurance. he said he would have a 1M policy by end of the week. But WCC requires a 2M. I only have the photog... but want to meet GinaRoseFlowers tonight. I have to ask what her policy is.
Going forward, that will be my first question. I don't want to find out months later...oops, have to cancel. That would be the worst.

Re: Vendor Liability Insurance
most reputable vendors have this insurance. MY DJ was recommended by my hall so i wasn't worried. my Photog. was Patken, not recommended by my hall but i knew they were reputable & worked there often . Most companies that typically do weddings at these halls carry the appropriate insurance....
