Hey just wondering which vendors we have to order meals for. Obviously the photographers and videographers, but what about the dj? The hall told me usually not since they are there appx 5 hours but my aunt had an 8 piece band a couple years ago and had to feed them all. TIA!

It depends with the DJ/MC if they tell you that they will eat from the cocktail hour and dont need order a meal for them(my DJ told me this) then you dont have to order meals for them. If you are having a DOC you should have a meal for them as well.

We fed everyone except for the steel drum band who left after cocktail. Our DJ/MC actually had it in their contract that we had to feed them even though we only had them for four hours but we would have anyway.
The thing that annoyed me, and this is totally irrelevant, was that our DJ's threw a few singles on the table and I felt it was really classless. Like, really guys we took care of the gratuities.

you count any vendor that is there for the reception in the count of vendors (photo/video and DJ staff/band)

We fed all of our vendors except for the steel drum band. You may want to talk to your DJ and ask him how they usually do it because I doubt they will expect you to feed them all if there is that many of them.
