Vendor Meals

So we paid for 15 vendor meals (Yikes! Reduced price thankfully!!). How do we let the vendors know that we have paid for them? Does my DOC tell them? Maitre D? I want to make sure they are eating since we paid for it!!

Vendor Meals

I think the Maitre D tells them the day of your wedding when they can eat BUT I would let them know ahead of time...shoot an email...so you aren't paying for them for nothing!

Vendor Meals

I worked in a catering hall, and vendors eat when they are hungry, to be simple. Some will go to cocktail hour if they are done setting up equipment, taking photos, whatever, unless someone tells them NOT to. Then they usually have a table set for them during the reception with the amount you paid for and the courses are brought out at the same time as they are for the guests (usually they are served immediately after the bride and groom so they can get back to work while everyone finishes eating). They eat whenever they are not busy, and if they miss a course, so be it.

Like someone above mentioned, I'd definitely let your vendors know ahead of time--unless it's already in your contract--that you paid for their meal (so even if they don't eat it there, atleast doggy bag it!)

Re: Vendor Meals

I feel like most vendors know this because it's pretty standard. Usually they eat when everyone else is, if and when they get a chance. Unless you have a really small vendor who doesn't have a lot of experience then maybe talk to them ahead of time.
