Re: Vendor question
Absolutely not. If you both signed to a contract price, they can't change it, and certainly not for MORE money. They are obligated to honor that contract.

Re: Vendor question
No way can they do that! That is nuts that a vendor would even think of doing something like that.

No, no, no! A contract is a contract! They need to honor what is in that contract!

Not sure what vendor this is but with so many of them there this guy can be replaced like that.... Id tell him he needs to honor what you both signed or you want out of the deal 100% (along w/ your deposit back!!)

Re: Vendor question
I agree with everyone else...A contract is a contract and it's there fault for not realizing the mistake...Why should you have to pay for there error.

Re: Vendor question
I wouldn't give them a cent more then what the signed contract says! Not your problem that they quoted the 'wrong price'. If they don't honor the contract I would demand my deposit back, look for someone else and report them to the Better Business Bureau! GL!

I agree, the only increase in your contract should be due to you increasing the number of guests, adding on something to your contract, or a change in taxes.
They should know how to add up their numbers correctly and give you the correct amount.

I did not increase anything....I did not change anything at all from the time the contract was signed. It was an error made by the vendor and now they want us to pay more for it

Re: Vendor question
if there is a signed contract, they cannot then go and say you need to pay more. In their business they are in the best position to know the cost, and they knowingly entered the contract.
