VENDOR RAAAAVVVVEEEEE

Ladies,

I cannot stop raving about how amazing Christina Santos Floral is.

I wanted to share her fb page. She really is brilliant and soooooo creative.

In my opinion the most important thing to look for in a florist is someone with creativity and a nack for understanding the person that they are working with.

Check out her fb page and especially under the wedding section because you can see the wedding she did for DAVID TUTERA on MY FAIR WEDDING!!!!

PS: She can create something amazing for any budget. She knows how to get the look you want for less and that is something not alot of other florists we visited can do!

We are on a super tight budget and getting everything we want...

Re: VENDOR RAAAAVVVVEEEEE

sorry for crashing but i along with a couple of other brides had a different experience with santos,

at first everything was wonderful , when we met her we LOVED her she took her time and really almost booked her on the spot ( which thank god i didnt)

after what was supposed to be 3 days which turned into 3 months of repeated phone calls and emails with no response. i received a proposal

and it was NOTHING what we discussed and a lot of things that i HAD SAID I DID NOT WANT.

She also was on four weddings, at the riviera and i would say her flowers were a lot of 'filler'

I don't know - -- - - - - she also did my cousins wedding last weekend and it was STUNNING!

She is really receptive to my suggestions. I feel that the most important thing walking into ANY appointment is to know flowers well - the cost, the 'look alike cheaper version' etc.

Her prices were better than all the other florists I worked with, maybe because she knows my cousin - but regardless I know the deal I am getting because I am well versed in flowers and floral design.

If you need any help on how to get a certain look and what to exactly ask for - for example there are about 30 different kinds of orchids, and 20 or thirty different dahlias etc. hit me up on FM and I can help out - i live for this stuff!

I actually am planning on opening my own florist and event design studio up north in a few years when my husband relocates to albany for his work.

YES!
First meeting with her was wonderful!!!
She was sweet and knowledgebale!!!
Said she would send me a proposal with a price and all the info.......
That was last October 2010....
NOTHING>
I emailed her about it, she answered 3 weeks later and promised a proposal in two days....
NOTHING

Horrifying customer service! Needless to say, I never got a proposal nor did I get any further correspondence from her ever again.
Even if she did communicate with me after that, which she didnt, I would never book with a vendor with that kind of treatment.
Completely unacceptable!!

Her work looked wonderful though, hopefully she treats her clients better than I was treated!

this!

and she told me gerbera daisies in a bouquet would not wilt , and that was not the case, the petals would wilt, so her knowing 'so much' about flowers really must not be the case.

I think that its up to the bride to know about flowers... I guess because I know exactly what I want and what exact breed of each flower that I am not too concerned... she has been great with me... but again, maybe it is because shes done and doing my entire families wedding.

I simply love her and hate that not everyone has had the experience that I am having and my cousins have had

Also, I had a civil ceremony in may, and we are having our real wedding in April of 2012... I carried an entire bouquet of gerbera daisy's and they lasted 3 days after the event. It all depends on where you get the flowers from I guess

I dont know this vendor but I just have to say that I disagree 100% with 'it's up to the birde to know about flowers'

UMM no its not - that is why you hire people and pay them a good chunk of change. I don't hire my DJ to do my flowers - I hire the florist b/c they are supposed to be an expert in the field, hence why I paid them.

If you dont have the confidence in your florist (or any vendor) that they know EXACTLY what they are doing, then that's a very scary rope to walk.

Just my 2 cents!

Yeah, I guess because I love flowers (I am going to open my own florist shop when my FH relocated to Albany in 3 years) that I have a different opinion and should have thought about that before posting.

I hope I didnt offend you in anyway :(

I do agree that if you don't know about it, than its really important to have a florist that knows... me on the other hand, I want someone who can exactly execute my vision and not ask questions....but that was hard for me when looking at florists because every florist wants to put in their 2 cents and I couldnt stand that because i had exacts of how many of each flower in each bouuet the style and height of the vase, and where I wanted to flowers to come from in the world lol

I was in an all gerber daisy wedding, including every bouquet and none of them wilted. I loved my bouquet and it lasted at least four or five days.

Not trying to defend this florist (I hadn't heard about her until this post) but I wanted to let you know that if you want gerbers in your bouquet, I don't see why you can't have them?
