VENDOR RANT!!!!

So I placed an order for a petticoat with Macys Demetrios bridal salon back in May, I was very specific that I NEEDED it by end of July, the sales girl besides her terrible attitude and rudeness told me that wouldn't be an issue, in fact it will arrive a week before the last week of the month. I did explain that my dress is custom and I have to travel to NJ about 3-4 hours away / boarder PA for my first fitting..
I called a few times in June to check status, I was assured it was shipping soon. I went down there this past Saturday to see where is it, and the girl which happened to be the same sales girl I dealt with, said I will call you Monday I cant check on the weekend, fine.
I got a call from their manager yesterday saying ( LOL) that they make the petticoat according to my wedding date ( WHAT?) and I will not ship till the end of august ( I am about to slap someone really hard at this point ) and very calmly I said: well how is that possible when I never gave you my wedding date??? I gave you the date that I need it by!!!
well her next comment was: you can come and try one of our samples; and I responded calmly; I need the petticoat for my fitting in NJ!!!! then her attitude changed: o you didn't buy your dress here? we really don't sell petticoats you can come down to get a refund...
excuse meeeeee
well now I've lost two months and I need a petticoat asap. my dress is I think its called asymmetrical Aline.

I had a huge problem with Macy's back in Nov-Jan about shipping jewelry (very expensive jewelry) for my
Bridesmaid gifts. I actually didn't get it resolved until
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Affairs. Once the complaint went through I had a phone call from someone in their corporate offices within days. The woman handled the situation and the problem was resolved within a week. I would go this route. I tried dealing with salespeople at the store and their customer service line (multiple times). They also gave me $100 in gift cards bc of what I went through. Just
Google consumer affairs and the better business bureau. Getting complaints on these sites really hurts their status. I'm sorry you are going through this but sometimes you just have to go To the top To get it done.

I agree! I emailed their district manager but of course no replay as of this afternoon,
these days people really to emails quicker than returning phone calls, but I will fight this !!

So sorry to hear about this! Just chiming in to say I also had a horrible experience with Macy's/Demetrios (Smithhaven Mall in my case). They are the least personable place to purchase a gown, etc.. They have the worst customer service, and I lost $$$ because of them with nothing to show for it. I hope other brides avoid them at all cost, especially when there are so many other salons out there where people will bend over backwards to make you happy.
