As some of you know, we ordered Bill Levkoff BM and MOH gowns from Burton's Bridal back in July. At that time, we were told that the dresses would be in by the beginning of January. When January came and we hadn't heard anything, my MOH called them to check on the status and was told that they would be in by the end of January. And Burton's never called, so my MOH called again and was told they'd be in the first week of February. And still, Burton's never called, so my MOH called again and was told last week that they'd be in now. But, of course, they aren't in...and it's 18 days until my wedding! At least 2 of my girls are going to need alterations and so of course we are all panicking.I feel like Burton's lied to us from day one and either forgot to order the dress until the last minute or the dresses were delayed because they're coming from China and Chinese New Year sets the wedding business back there and causes delays--but if that is the case, Burton's should have known this and anticipated a delay and ordered the dresses earlier. We paid for the dresses more than 6 months ago after all! This is complete negligence on Burton's part--and the owner doesn't seem to care at all. I am so upset that 2.5 weeks before my wedding I should have to go through this because of someone else's lack of professionalism and utter carelessness. She didn't even apologize!
Anyhow, I just had to share this with you girls because I would never want this to happen to anyone else. I know I have said good things about Burton's before, because they were nice to us when we ordered the dresses. And they did have the best price for the Bill Levkoff dresses. But, once they got our money, they seemed to throw all concern and customer service out the window.
The hassle and stress has not been worth saving a few dollars. So, if you have to get your dresses there, I would advise you to consider lying about your wedding date so you can ensure you'll receive the dresses on time. Or, better yet, get a guarantee in writing--I sure wish I had!

So sorry that you're going through this!! Fingers crossed for you that everyone gets their dresses in time and everything works out - I'm sure it will!

we ordered our BM dresses from them too! We ordered in August and they said the dresses will be in in March. I plan on calling them tomorrow just to make sure they will be in because this makes me nervous.My cousin used them for her bridesmaids and they all raved about Burton's, so I hope that this isn't something that always happens!
Good luck though, I hope everything works out in the end :)

Omg this is the last thing you need to worry about I hope you get the call tomorrow that they came in. I ordered a dress for a friends wedding there, I think she lied about her date but there were no dress issues.....the lady wasn't very nice though.

I totally agree that these shops once they have the cash - that's the end of the courtesy and customer service. I hope it all works out in the end.

Sorry this is happening to you. I cant even imagine what I would be like if I was deling with that issue. I really hope it all works out. Keep us posted.

Thanks ladies! She told me the dresses would be in today, but when my MOH called, she was told 'the plane broke down in Illinois.' So, we still have no dresses. My coworker said his sister got her BM dress there last year and the same thing happened. They got their dresses right before the wedding and all the alterations were done in one day while they sat there and waited. So, this is not a one time mishap.

i called today to find out what the status is of our order, and was told that they will be in next Friday.. my wedding isn't until May 25, but I'm hoping that if the same thing goes on with me and they aren't in next week, that I can keep on top of it now!Really hope your girls dresses come in soon!

If she does order some dresses at the last minute, I'm guessing they're lumped in the same order with dresses that still have time. Maybe she gets a discount for volume orders or saves on freight and import charges this way. But it stinks to go through this and I will be beyond pissed if she doesn't have the dresses by the deadline.Welcome New Vendors
