VENDOR RANT: Fireside Caterers in Levittown, NY
So to sum it up quickly...
I had my e-party on August 23, 2008. It was very nice and everything came together in the end.
I booked Fireside Caterers in LEVITTOWN back in May. My parents got a package menu and then had added the hamburgers and hotdogs barbeque service. For the hamburgers and hotdogs to be cooked for 4 hours we were paying an extra 600.
However, 3 days before (August 20, 2008) to be exact, the guy from levittown calls me and lets me know that the hamburgers and hotdogs will be PRECOOKED. Obviously, I was not happy and that was not what was discussed or in our contract. So needless to say, I was so upset, because I had 120 people coming to the party and this was a problem. I also want to note that there was a big communication problem from the start, their English is not that great. He basically procedes to tell me that I made the contract under his old boss and that now he has a new boss.
So I canceled them and in the end, 3 days before my party, the Fireside Caterers in NORTHPORT came through and did a phenomenal job. People are still raving about the food including my FH.
**Just so everyone knows, Firesides are all independently owned. And I highly, highly recommend Fireside Caterers in Northport for their excellent service and excellent food.
