So as some of you know FH and I won Party FM's Get Hitched On The House. One of our prizes was a gift certificate for $500 towards flowers. Well we decided we would use that $500 on flowers for the church (it is a commerical florist) and then go elsewhere (AKA someplace cheaper) for everything else
WELL I just spoke with the person at the florists we won and they said if we don't book the entire wedding with them, they won't give us the $500.
I understand they want the buisness BUT they are a commerical florist which makes me nervous. AND they are more expensive than the florist I have, which means I can't afford them anyway.
Am I totally wrong for being mad??
I have a Gift Certificate that I won fair and square so shouldn't I be allowed to use it anyway I please???

NOPE and the women told me that was the deal with the radio station. I am calling them and asking bc this is bullshittttt

ITA...I would call the radio station and find out what's going on. You should be able to use it however you see fit.

That is absolutely ridiculous!!! U should be able to use it any way u want. If there's nothing in writing stating what they said then u should not be obligated to book with them, especially if its not what u want or in ur budget.

WHAT!!!!! You should get you $500 worth of flowers - does you gift card have a disclaimer on it?
I would tell the florist that you are only having flowers at the church

I totally agree. i wouldnt tell them you are using a different florist. how will they know the difference. Its not like they are going to show up at your wedding
