Vendor Rave and check
So Sat night FH and I met with Stan Wiest... this was our first DJ meeting, so we weren't expecting to book, but let me tell you, HE IS AMAZING!!!
First off, his office is in his house and it is so freaking cool.... well, if you like swords, and Western artifacts. And right away you can tell that he is a musician, not a business man. He immediately put us at ease.
He is getting us our trumpeters to greet guests, string trio for the ceremony, and a DJ/MC for the reception. No need to go elsewhere for any of these. He actually conducts the strings, and when I told him what song I wanted to walk down the aisle to, he went and looked for the sheet music right while we were there!!!!!
He holds weddings in high regards and elegance, and won't even allow his dj's to play songs like the 'chicken dance' and 'YMCA' etc. He once had a bride who ONLY wanted Beatles songs played and thats what she got. I am so excited!!!!![]()

He has an extensive collection of irish/celtic music, and has gained even more. If he doesn't have it, he will gladly accept anything from us to play.
He was a little more than we hoped to spend, but for the quality of music we are looking at... we couldn't say no.
And best yet! He works also as a coordinator/committee chair for wedding vendors. He is willing to give any and all advice regarding our wedding. It doesn't even have to have anything pertaining to the music for him to help out. It doesn't matter how many times we bug him with questions or concerns, he is willing to help out. He is a house vendor for Lessings and I believe EVERYONE needs to check him out!!!!!
