Has anyone met with a vendor in their own home? I was offered that option by a vendor, but i honestly am not sure of the protocol- I was not up to playing hostess this weekend. Has anyone done this/are there any expectations on the part of the vendor?

I know my florist has gone to ladies homes that live in LI. Since I am from Queens I met her at a starbucks at the halfway travel mark for both of us.

I've met with a vendor at her home, and she said next time she would meet me at my home. I think I would just have a pot of coffee made or something. I wouldn't worry about being a hostess.

I have met with 2 Dj's in m home and I haveheard of a few video and photo people that come to your home.
You don't have to play hostess I just offered them something to drink and that was that. The meeting I had lasted about an hour and I liked it better that way.

I met a vendor at home. I felt extremely uncomfortable the whole time and I didn't like the fact that I couldn't see where he worked out of.

i think it depends...i prefer going to them just because i am very private... plus i want to see how they work, and how they play hostess to me- we are the ones paying
after the initial consult, once we are booked i think any subsequent meetings at my home would be okay.

I have met a couple of vendors at my home. I kinda like that better. I am sometimes to lazy to go to them.

i am meeting with a florist on friday at my home. i have met her before at bridal shows and have seeen her work before so this is really a design meeting.
hey mabe i will have something else booked by the end of the week. i only have 10 months left!!!! yikes
