Vendors in Port Jefferson Area
I am from Staten Island, and my fiance and I are currently living in Brooklyn. He grew up in Long Island and my family is scattered throughout the tri-state area. Originally we were planning a destination wedding for Sonoma, CA but decided to plan something closer. Only problem is that I am still unfamiliar with vendors, and not being from the area makes it even harder!
Does anyone have recommendations for the following vendors? (I basically need everything! So overwhlming-don't even know where to begin) I was planning on doing a lot of wedding stuff over the summer, since I am a teacher and I have time off)
-Hair & Makeup (for bride, bridal party, Mother of the Bride)
-Flowers
-DJ
-Limousine (just to get to venue)
-String duo or trio for ceremony/outdoor cocktail hour
When should I start contacting places and people? Is it too early a year in advance? Obviously I have never planned a wedding before and I kind of stink at planning any kind of event so thanks in advance for your help!
