vendors recommended by your RH

do you girls recommend going with the vendors that your RH suggest? i live in suffolk and my weding is in nassau and things like the limo company dont really matter to me. so should i just go with the ones rec. by RH?

advice please!!

It is up to you. I don't think there is anything wrong with using vendors recommended by your RH.

i think you should definitely do some research and go with the one who's giving you the better deal, regardless of whether they're recommended by your RH or not. sometimes the vendors they recommend may be out of your price range.

I think you should check out as many as you can...whether they are vendors or not. Our photographer is a vendor...but we prob wont be using the rh florist vendor...

ITs worth it to look into some of them. I am using my house vendor for the florist but that's more because I liked the vendor - they usually give a disoucnt though!!

To be very honest with you. i met with two vendors recommended by RH & very disappointed with both.

I went with alot vendors that the girls here recommended & haven't been disappinted yet !!

I would do research on your RH's vendors and other vendors to compare. In the end, go with whatever vendor you love and feel comfortable with.

I would definatley look into the vendors., but look elsewhere to compare.

I chose alot of house vendors because I knew that if there was a problem...Mr. Russo would hunt them down., Russo's stand behind their vendors., and they reflect on them...and also they are located across the street from the Reception Hall..so I can literally go bridezilla on them the day of is something is wrong lol! And we got some discounts.

I plan on checking out a bunch of the recommended vendors, but it doesn't mean you have to go with them. Actually, the photographer I booked with tonight was not on their list.

It's who you like and get the best deal from!

the vendors recommended by your RH are usually more expensive however it means they have a good relationship with your RH and are most likely reliable.

your RH gets a kickback from every recommended vendor that one of thier brides books. so even though you get a discount... you could find cheaper elsewhere bc they have to pay all the kickbacks from somewhere..

I think that recommended vendors will normally give you a discount. I'm suggesting looking into the recommendd photogs bc they know the rh perfectly and will know where to take the best pics.... eveyone else i'm looking into just for the discount.

i would say the house vendor is definitely worth checking out because they are usually reputable AND they give a discount (most times) because they are affliated with your hall, but also check out some others for comparison.

So far we've booked the house florist and the house limo company. Photography we ALMOST went with the house vendor but decided to go with someone else and DJ we also did on our own.

my advice is still research it- there are some benefits to going with in house vendors- they are more familiar with the location and decorating, etc and sometimes the hall will comp their meal- but you may be able to save more going outside or get more of what you were looking for.

i plan to look at the rh's suggested, but i will definately read the reviews on here and also comparison shop too. hth

I pretty much agree with everyone on here. Just make sure to do your research on here and/or with BBB.

When we started looking we decided we would check out a couple on and off the recommended list.

We loved one of the house photographers so we booked them. I'm not quite 100% sure if our DJ is a house vendor. They were not on our list but they tell us they are a house vendor (I really need to call the hall to make sure).

We didn't go with their florist.

I feel that we got great prices and they were able to negotiate much better

Use your own discresion.
