Re: vendors replying to emails
Do you have a microphone for your computer? You could always sign up with Yahoo or Skype and call them through your computer for mere pennies per minute. My mum does that to call the UK.

Re: vendors replying to emails
I feel like if they have an email address as means of contact, they should be responding to you. I think 24-48 hours should be an appropriate amount of time for a response.

Re: vendors replying to emails
I had the same problem unfortunately (I am from OOT as well fortunately not out of the country though... that must really be tough). I emailed and emailed. Often if I did get a response it was a generic email to call them to speak to one of the bm's. Very few places will give you prices over the phone but if you explan your situation they should be able to do that for you. I doubt you will have much luck with email. You will have to most likely call.
Good luck!

Definitely call. Vendors are not always the best with replying to email. I usually email then call a few hours later because I'm really impatient!

Re: vendors replying to emails
This is a busy season for a lot of vendors, especially larger places like reception halls. I've found that independent vendors tend to respond faster to emails, whereas larger 'studio' vendors may never get back to you. Also, I have yet to get a response to a limo company...defintiely call them if you can.
