Re: Venetian Plaster
I finished my in-laws living room with the yellow ochre like color. It looks good and my mother in law loves it.

Re: Venetian Plaster
we did our bathroom w/venetian plaster. Love it! We may do our kitchen as well.
It wasn't hard to do, and wasn't any more time consuming than other faux finishes.

I don't think it was hard, I think it was more time consumming. The thing with venetian plaster, is once you do it, it can't really go back. What I mean is you would have to sand down the walls if you want the walls to be smooth.
I'll double check with Phil, but I remember him saying to my mom, 'Are you sure you want this? Is alot of work to go back to a regular wall if you don't like it?'

Re: Venetian Plaster
our walls are pretty smooth - in fact they feel MORE smooth than the regularly painted walls. We would probably have to sand a little to repaint, but not much at all.
Maybe it depends on how you put it on - we put it on for a smooth feel with a textured appearance (having sanded AFTER putting it on). But you can also get a textured feel from it...

Re: Venetian Plaster
We just did a wall in one of the rooms w/ it but we ended up painting over it b/c it was more of a green--and didnt really match--we needed more of a gray.
But FH LOooooves that stuff---it does look pretty once its applied though. We will have to retry it again in a different room.
Does yours have a nice glassy, glossy finish to it.
