Venetian Yacht Club (low tide)

I plan on booking the Venetian Yacht Club and I was concerned about low tide. Has anyone heard anything bad about the smell of low tide at the Venetian (Great South Bay)???

i live right on the bay and if its really hot it can smell but ususally low tide isnt that bad.

Im getting married there in august! never even thought about that! ahh im sure the smell wont be soo bad...i hope!!

Someone told me that they heard about a bad smell outside of the hall, but I've already made many trips to the hall (various times of day) and I don't smell anything, but the ocean!

My friend told me that she didnt book there bc her mother thought the smell was horrible. I am getting married there in August so I hope its not true! I have never smelled anything but i have never been in the summer and not sure if it was ever low tide when i went.

Anyway low tide on my wedding date is at 7:41pm.. my outdoor CH will be over by 7 so everyone should be inside where the part is by the time low tide starts.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have never heard of anything like that.

I am booked there and during visits have noticed a damp type smell earlier in the morning - like most things near water. I think at night with the smell of food it will not smell at all.

I saw this thread and it was a major factor in our decision not to book here.

I was going to be Sept. 2010 Bride, and looked here for our wedding. We just didnt like the place. The bigger wedding was just more important to them than the smaller wedding. They were going to use OUR RH room for their CH and cause a whole scene and rush around to do it for THEM.

I HTHs. Again, its just JMO but this was a major factor in our decision not to book there.
