Venitein Yacht club/John Anthonys review

Before I begin I want to say that John Anthony’s is a very nice place. The view was beautiful and everyone had a good time. If I was having a summer wedding I would love to have my wedding there. The food was very good and I have no complaints about the staff. Actually the girl in charge of our table was very nice and helpful. She always came to us and asked us if we needed any drinks, etc.

One thing I should mention is that the bride is EXTREMELY allergic to shell fish. She has come to family functions to which she has had to leave because there is to much shellfish. At my grandmothers 80th b-day party my cousin had to take her to the hospital because she needed an injection. Well at the cocktail hour there was calamari. It was the only seafood I saw, but it was enough to have her father scream at the BM. The only reason I know this is because my brother was in the bridal party. Most of the guests were unaware of this.

There was only 2 things that I didn’t like but that could have been things that the bride has chosen-

1-There was approx 250 ppl at this wedding and the CH was held in the room off to the side on the main floor. There was only about 10 little tables with 5 chair on each. People had to stand and eat and were squished together because there was not enough room for everyone. It was very uncomfortable.

2- there was only 1 bathroom for both weddings and the ladies room wasn’t that big.. We had the room upstairs for the reception and had to go down to the main floor. A few times I saw the bride from the party downstairs in there with her BM’s.

Other than that it was a good time. The DJ was good and everyone was dancing the whole night.
