vent...

ok, i dont mind my FH going out with his buddies (or in this case buddy) every now & then... we have a son, so he doesnt get to let loose often.

I would *rather* he call me to come to manhattan to pick him up than have him attempt to drive home... I'm FINE with it... to have him in my car safe & sound. So that part didn't bother me. Even when he & his (very drunk) buddy claimed they're fine and want me to leave them to go eat and turn around back to queens.
(THANK GOD for door locks!!!)

but I absolutely HAAAAAAAAAATE seeing (and hearing) him drunk..

ugh... just shut up shut up shut up shut up

I totally understand what you mean. My FH was so drunk last night I couldn't wait for him to go to bed. He just wouldn't shut up.

If DS is asleep, then I would get an early night, so this way when he does wake up, it won't hurt so bad in the morning!!!

I've been working all afternoon/night while FH and his brother and friend when to the Mets game.....Well, he is home now, mellowing out after getting completely trashed at the game..... I told him I'll be home around 12 and he better be passed out so I can get some sleep!

I hate when FH is drunk, or any person.

Last time really pissed me off because we were at a communion party. It was pouring rain when we left, and I had to pull over for him.
Then he proceeded to get sick in the house, and I cleaned it up ONLY because I didn't want to see it in the morning. I slept on couch that night.

Best part is, when FH got up in the morning, he didn't remember anything. Asked me why I was sleeping on the couch. I was so pissed at him. Even after telling him what he did, he still couldn't figure out why I was mad. At least my FMIL was on my side and told him to grow up ! At 45 I think he should.

I'm not a big fan of FH drunk either.

Him and his friends were drinking just about every weekend for a while and he gets very annoying drunk. I got so pissed, I didn't talk to him for a few days and then had it out with him.

I also get concerned because his dad's family has a history of alcoholism, so I don't want him to get to that point.

OK not that it's a good thing but it's nice to know that I am not alone. I know just what you all mean, FH doesn't go out to bars anymore but we'll hang out at home or at a friends/families house and it never fails, if he's drinking, he's getting wasted. Thank goodness he only drinks on his off days. Don't you just love the stages of their drunkness,

~Gets all mushy and starts to doze off while sitting down {beer in hand} while insisiting that he's AWAKE & FINE

my FH is about 6'3' and he passed out on our LOVESEAT...he looked so funny but I just put a blanket over him and set MY alarm earlier to make sure he got up for work.

Sure enough, I was showered with kisses about how right I was to come get him (he TRIED to get me to turn around and go home, that he'll get home FINE--- hahah YEAH OK)

UGH! It's so annoying! And embarassing.. FH can totally NOT hang! He has such a low tolerance but insists he doesn't and he gets sooo freaking drunk sometimes! I hate that!
